AERIAL NOISE’S ESSENTIAL DRUM & BASS SELECTION

Influenced by multiple genres (including reggae, dub, rock & roll breaks, funk, soul, hip-hop, blues, jazz and house music) – and born from out of the rave / hardcore scene, Drum & Bass (formally known as Jungle Techno / Jungle) has become a global genre that we have all come to love.

Typically made between 160 – 180 BPM (with occasional tracks falling between the 130 – 165 BPM mark), Roland’s TR-808 staple kick drum sample, the “Reese” bassline (taken from Reese – “Just Another Chance”) and the Amen Break drum sample have been key components in making this genre as big as it’s become today.

With the importance of Drum & Bass being centred around its chosen basslines and the underlying magic of those sounds waiting to be transformed into an magical state throughout sound systems that can handle low-range frequencies constantly, Drum & Bass still remains at the top of its imaginative gain and fruitful efforts.
